Today I'm going to show you a dressy and casual take on a similar look. I've really been enjoying dressing up jeans lately, but I really only get to them one day a week at work, that leaves four other work days where I need to dress up. This winter has really make me dress more casually, but I really do love a good skirt, so I love how easily this outfit can transition from casual to dressy by simply switching the the jeans out for the pencil skirt. I'm not going to lie, after taking these pictures I added tights, it was too cold. The jeans look I wore when it was pretty nice a few weeks ago....maybe I should have worn the skirt then. ;) Speaking of jeans, I'm on the hunt for some new ones, I'm wondering if I should give these a try, being I love everything else from there. What jeans do you love and recommend?
Next Wednesday I'm going to be co-hosting a "Many Days, Many Ways" link-up with Danielle at Goodwillista and and Nicole at Writes Like a Girl. It will similar to today's post. That cobalt blazer is so good. I love posts like these because they show the versatility of an item - or in this case, two items. I will be definitely linking up next Wednesday with you ladies. Is it a regular thing or just next week only? Let me know. =) Thanks.

Great blazer look! I am still remixing my closet and have yet to bring out my two blazers!! I love jeans from the Loft and the Silver brand - you can find them at Maurices(: Susan
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blazer! I love it both ways!
ReplyDeleteI love how you mixed the stripes and leopard! Both ways are so cute!

I love Eddie Bauer Curvy Jeans in Straight Leg.. the "Stay Shape" variety. Relatively pricey regularly, but I wait for 40% off which comes around often. I'm pear-shaped so this is about as close as I can get to "skinny jeans" and still have the fit be correct and flattering!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these looks. I have been on a stripe loving kick. And Iove the black and white with the blazer.

Both looks are great. Right now I am pairing all of my blazers with pants because it's the only way I can handle the cold. I can't wait for warmer weather for skirts!
ReplyDeletesuch a classy look both ways! i love the jeans you have on, they look fabulous on you!
ReplyDeleteI love to change out a top or a bottom to get a different look
ReplyDeleteThis is usually my, oh no I am in a hurry and don't have time to think about what I am going to wear scenario

I really love both of these! This is a really good way to get to wear a favorite outfit without fully repeating it.. dress it up for work, then swap out the bottoms for the weekend. Genius. (did I spell that right? obviously I am not one lol)
ReplyDeleteLove this look! The leopard pumps are the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI love Loft's modern straight jeans!
Love both combos, especially paired with the stripes and animal print heels!
ReplyDeleteCobalt paired with leopard... TOO good! These are both adorable.

I have this style blazer in white. I think it's my favorite style of all. I considered buying up the cobalt, navy, AND maroon, and then I smacked myself because I already own all of those color blazers. Granted, I have three white/off-white ones now, but I can exercise only so much restraint.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, black/white/cobalt is ALWAYS a winning combination. Oh, and what a fun bracelet you have :)
I often wear blazers for work - usually navy grey or black. I used to combine them with knee length skirts but have recently started to wear pants (trousers as I am from the UK).
ReplyDeleteI do not currently wear jeans but have been considering buying some.
