This week Chelsea and I are taking on a Christmas party. Now, I must confess, Brian and I don't really go to Christmas parties that call for dress like this, as fun as it would be. We're just really not that fancy. However, we do go to more casual get-togethers, and today's outfit is definitely one I'd wear to one of those. When I saw this top at Gap, I knew I wanted it, and my first thought for styling it was with a simple pencil skirt and heels, which I think I'll try, but then I got this idea. I pretty much love it. Last time I wore this vest to school, a student petted it, and Grant told me I was fancy, so that's pretty much a win. I figure it's definitely Christmas Party worthy. : )
Vest: JC Penney $8 similar
Top: Gap $15 similar as a cardigan
Necklace: Stella and Dot same
Boots: Wanted $29 (via eBay) almost exact / same in black
This week Chelsea has done it again! These pretzel bites look amazing! Make sure to stop by Whatcha Makin' Now to get the details for how to make this recipe for yourself.
Thank you so much for this post! We dont attend fancy parties either and I am always searching for a nice casual outfit for the parties we do get invited to! And those pretzels look amazing! We are going to try them! Have a great week! Susan

Very pretty Ginny. I can't wait to get all gussied up for the holidays. It starts tonight with Aiden's preschool Christmas concert. I can totally see a child petting that vest. Love them.

I always wish I had some fancy Christmas party to get all dressed up for, but I don't haha. Casual parties in casual outfits like this are more our scene. I really love how this outfit came together!

I almost bought that top at Gap, but then I had too many things in my "buy" pile! Now I'm regretting that decision, because it's so cute!
