Today Grant is at daycare and my mom and I are going to go to lunch and to see The Book Thief. I loved the book, so I'm super excited. Grant and I saw Frozen on Tuesday and it as super good. Two movies in a week doesn't usually happen, so this should be fn!
I recently found this scarf at JC Penny, it's Joe Fresh and although it looks like it's wool, it's actually not. It's lighter and easier to wear all day without getting hot, which I love. I decided to pair it with my polka for sweater, black jeans, and boots. I seriously want to wear these jeans everyday. I tried on these recently and wanted to love them, but without pockets I didn't feel they'd be appropriate for me to wear at school. What do you girls think? Am I crazy?
Vest: Sears $18 same
Sweater: J.Crew Factory $20, sold out but would be cute with Fovever 21 same
Scarf: JC Penney $10 sold out online similar
Jeans: Old Navy $15 same
Boots: Born (three years old) similar
The plaid and polka dot pattern mixing is really cute..I wore something similar on Christmas :) Have fun on your lunch/movie date!

I love how minimal the colors are, but the patterns really make the outfit. And you're not alone in the pant department. Ladies swear by the Gigi/Pixie/Winnie, but with my rear and thighs they look indecent in public.
ReplyDeletelove love love the brown with the black! you look perfect!!

Have fun with your Mom! We are in Gretna tomorrow for basketball holiday tournaments which means...Michelle goes to the Outlets...can't wait to hit up a few of my favs! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is cute! And it looks super comfortable. I hope you like The Book Thief, Jim and I saw it about a week ago and I thought it was good. I don't know what those other pants looked like on you, but I would probably be afraid to wear them to work without pockets, because they might seem like leggings.
ReplyDeleteOoo... I love the pattern mixing! :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that scarf!!! And I especially love it with the polka dots! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is such a deal....I finally found a similar one at H&M at the post Xmas sales!!

Love this look! I like the lighter weight scarves too--that way I can wear them pretty much year round :)
ReplyDeleteGreat scarf! I really like it with your sweater!
ReplyDeleteLove your new scarf. Cannot wait for you to see my new Plaid Scarves. I also love that Sweater. I am loving how many great outfits you have created out of this Black Vest also. It is the perfect vest, not too puffy. Would love to find something similar.
ReplyDeleteNow I am all caught up with your blog and left you my comments and love in your latest posts. Enjoy this last weekend of 2013 and Happy New Year, Ginny.

Sounds like a fun day! I don't go to movies that often. They are very expensive! I went and saw "Saving Mr. Banks" with my mom and grandma the other day though! It was a fun thing to do while family was in town :) I love this outfit and your boots are so cute!!
