My Favorite Dress

As the title suggests, this is my favorite dress. I got it last summer and wore it a number of times during my 30x30 challenge, but wanted to try it this time with a jean jacket for a spring transition look.  I really like the result and am sure it'll continue to be a favorite for quite some time.

Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans are one of my new favorite trends, I love everything about them! I am not a fan of wearing pants in general, but I'd take these jeans on about every day. There are also a lot of ways to style them.  One way is like pictured below, where it with a boyfriend cardigan but keep it dressy for a night out by wearing a sparkly top and heels.

Another way to wear it is with a blazer, this look is great for a casual Friday work look.  I also did some pattern mixing her with my scarf and striped shirt.

Here is another example of how to wear it with a blazer.  This time I layered it over a button down and a sweater.

Here I have layered a blouse and blazer with the jeans for a different take as well.

It can also be great with a simple fun sweater like I've shown below as well.

Pink and Gingham

I wore this outfit over spring break a couple of weeks ago.  When I was in college I lived for the idea of going somewhere tropical and laying in the sun for a week doing nothing. Well, that never happened, but now spring break is exactly what I want it to be; it consisted of playdates and the zoo.  We got to sleep in and do what we wanted for the whole week.  It was amazing and really had me wishing it was summer break and not spring break.  One quarter of school left.

I'm so loving gingham and all the great looks I'm seeing with it lately.  I thought I'd pair it with a nice pink(ish) cardigan and boyfriend jeans for a casual look.  I'm pretty happy with the result.

Tweed-rific

So, I was ogling  JCrew online when I came across beautiful skirts as far as the eye could see. Too bad one skirt pretty much blows my clothes budge for the month. The next day I was at Goodwill and came across this great tweed skirt, for $.99.....with the tags still on it. Silly person didn't consult JCrew and the tweed trend before donating. Amateur.

Stripes

My outfit:  I'm loving it today!  Let it be said that I took these pictures when it was like -20 degrees outside, because Mother Nature thought it would be a good idea to dump another load of snow on us.  I was inspired to wear this look by Tara.  I found the pin during the middle of winter and planned to wear it once it got warmer, but just couldn't wait!

Satin and Lace

I wore this outfit to church last Sunday. The last time I wore this dress I styled it like this. I wanted to try to style it differently, and this pin  of the sweet Malloy came to mind. I remember just thinking this look was perfect and thought it could pretty easily translate to me. The final result is definitely a look I love.

Pinned it-Copycat Hybrid

Last week I got to go out with the girls for dinner and to check out a new wine shop, bar, etc. that one of my very talented friends had been the interior designer for. It was a delightful time and I was pretty excited to wear this outfit. Most of my clothes are for work, church, or general casual weekend wear. I don't go "out" much these days, so trying to do dressy-cute seems to be hard for me. I was looking through my pins and saw Annie's pin which by the way is my favorite look of hers, and this pin which I've been drooling over for awhile and I came up with today's look. I really like it with my boyfriend jeans and heels, and am definitely looking forward to wearing again.  Although my outfit's not exactly the same as the pins, I feel it's important to give credit where credit is do. Fran wrote a really great post on this recently that's definitely worth checking out.

What's Your Style?

I feel like some people have really great consistent style.  I know when I see them or go to their blog, I know what I'm going to see, which is great when I want inspiration.   I feel like my style isn't quite there yet.  Sometimes I feel dressy/professional, sometimes casual, sometimes trendy, sometimes pretty, sometimes girly, and sometimes like a fashion victim. What about you?  Do you feel like you know your style, if so how would you define it?  Are you like me, lacking consistency? I don't necessarily think one is better than the other, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.
