This year "the one that got away" was J.Crew's striped excursion vest. Oh, I wish I'd gotten it! I guess this striped cardigan will have to be the next best thing. I really like it paired today with my chambray and red jeans. I like it with the heels for work, but I'm on the hunt for the perfect leopard flat, maybe these would actually be comfortable? I've tried on a bunch but my feet have rejected every pair. Anyone have any these love?
Also, I'm having a great time seeing everyone's Style Swaps, I'd love to have you join the fun this Friday. Button is on the side bar for you to grab. : )

Perfect layering look from the colors to the print mixing. Have you seen the Sam Edelman slip on cheetah sneakers? They are lovely and comfy!

Love that striped cardigan! I will have to check out the similar link because that is one thing I am missing from my wardrobe. The leopard heels are such a perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute mix of leopard and stripes! I saw a pair of pointed toe leopard flats from Nordstrom that I'm thinking about ordering.

I just bought some pointy toe leopard flats at Gap. They seemed pretty comfortable in the 30 seconds I tried them on in the store, but then the first time I wore them was agony! So, I don't know how often I'll be able to wear them. I also have the leopard loafers from Gap and they are very comfortable, but they don't look good with everything.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute!! I have a hard time with flats sometimes too. Too pointy and they squeeze, to round and I look like I have kid feet.

I love this look! I never thought about a chambray with red pants. Maybe I'll have to style-swap this too! :)
ReplyDeleteI know you missed the boat on the J.Crew vest, but this cardigan is pretty perfect, AND you thrifted it? Even better. Those Dr. Scholls ones HAVE to be comfortable. They always feel like clouds on my feet. I bought my flats at Target a year or two ago. I like them because they don't squeeze my toes. They're those smoking loafers or whatever the crap they call them.

Navy and red together is perfection!
ReplyDeleteI love your combinations in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI really love this combination of the red jeans and striped sweater. I feel like I got pretty lucky with my leopard boat shoes. Sperry's has a similar pair if you like a boat shoe style.
ReplyDeleteI'm also on the hunt for leopard flats! I'll be interested to see which ones others say are favorites!
ReplyDeleteloving the patriotic colours!! :D

I hesitantly bought a pair of leopard flats from Payless but they have turned out to be my favorites! I'd suggest checking them out.
ReplyDeleteI love cardigans that feel like blazer, like this one. Your outfit turned out great. I own 2 pairs of Leopard Ballet Flats and love them. I would VERY MUCH suggest a pair of the I-Flex ones that you can find at Payless. They are super cute, super comfy and super cost-effective too. I have 3 pairs of them: Nude, Houndstooth & Black ones.
ReplyDeleteThat JCrew vest was a good one, but they sold so quickly! The same with the herringbone vest last year, ugh! But I like your sweater, especially with the red skinnies! Good luck on the leopard flats. I have a pair from Madewell that I like but they aren't the most comfortable things in the world.
