My New Favorite Outfit: Ikat and Pinapples

Ikat and Pinapples

School is going well and having Monday off was a nice treat.  I was feeling the effects of being back to school full time last Friday, and Grant was super exhausted too.  We took it pretty easy last weekend, which was really nice too.  Today I decided to pair my pineapple print shirt with my ikat skirt.  I haven't worn this skirt since school got out in May so I was excited to pull it out. I really wanted to wear it again today before it starts to cool down. I'm really not ready to put my summer clothes away yet!

I also have a super annoying cold, so flats and comfy clothes will be good today. What's a new scool year without a cold, right?

  3. Super fun skirt! You look great and I hope you feel better soon. Both of my kids always get sick the first few weeks of school but then, hopefully, we are done for some time!

  9. Baah, colds are the worst! Sometimes I think they are worse than the flu because society still expects you to work. You still managed to look really cute, though. My outfits are terrible when I don't feel well!

  13. I'm sorry to hear about your cold! My very first principal told me about airborne when I first started teaching and I like to use it as an immune booster once I start to feel a cold coming on (or when it's already hit me full-blown). I love this cute combination of the red ikat and pineapples.

  14. That skirt is gorgeous. I think layered well plus if you put some olive, mustard, rust or emerald into the mix, it can work for Fall as well.

Hope your Labor Day weekend was relaxing enough for you, Ginny. =)

  17. I just looove the print of that skirt. And, once again, you rock at pattern mixing. One of my colleagues got a cold and lost her voice for the first three days of school. A student of mine from last year who has her this year asked me, "Does she actually have a voice? Because I haven't heard it yet." hahahaha. Ah, it's good to be back (cold and all) isn't it?
