Chelsea and Ginny Take On: New Year's Eve

Christmas is right around the corner, and I'm so excited for that! However, I bet some of you are already finalizing your New Year's Eve plans.  Today Chelsea and I are going to take on New Year's Eve.  Now, I have to be honest with you, Brian and I are not party goers.  We enjoy the occasional BBQ and we did host a Christmas party at our house, but it was nothing fancy and with kids involved everyone cleared out my 8:00.  Yep,  we're living on the edge.... So, I'd be lying if I said I was going to wear this outfit on New Year's Eve, even though I do think the outfit would be perfect if you're going to a party.  The patterned tights (I really want this polka dot option too!) and fancy necklace make this look perfect for a New Year's party where you want to look nice, but age appropriate.  Face it, we're not all 20 anymore.  : )  Instead I am wearing this to celebrate Brian and my wedding anniversary this following Saturday.   It'll be six years, crazy how time flies.  On New Year's Eve Brian and I typically stay and home and don't even make it until midnight, so I sure am not going to waste this cute outfit on that.

Have you entered my giveaway for $200 in Amazon cash yet?

  5. We've gone out downtown on New Year's Eve before, but I am pretty sure we will be staying in this year. I love how those tights look with your dress! And Happy Holidays to you!!

  6. Great look! Patterned tights are so on my must have list...you just reconfirmed that! I actually think that I will be looking for polka dots! I haven't done one holiday outfit this year, and it's because we won't be going anywhere. Having a toddler limits the party potential...but that's kind of okay because I am a true homebody through and through! Merry Christmas!

  7. We started hosting a NYE party for all our friends that also had kids who (like us) would be just home alone. The "ball drops" at 9pm and we are all in bed around 10pm (yep, we are that exciting)! :)

  12. I have never really liked NYE. Even in college, I dreaded having to force myself to stay up so late! We usually have kids at our house for NYE now, and my husband and I stay up until midnight with them and then hit the sack!! This dress is a gorgeous color and I LOVE patterned tights!! I hope you enjoy a blessed Christmas!! Susan

  14. I love your Tights and the Peacock Blue Dress. While this Outfit is really nice and that gorgeous necklace sparkles, I personally feel it's more suitable for work than NY Eve. I feel like NY Eve needs more of an Edgy look and perhaps some sequins (at times). That's my opinion.

That Bacon Pizza sounds divine and I am so hungry now. Belated Merry Christmas, Ginny!

  15. I love that dress! And the "almost exact" option is so much more expensive - way to be thrifty! We have a tradition with our college friends where we always have a NYE party, but it's never fancy. I usually try to wear some sparkle with my jeans, but I haven't planned anything this year. I have approximately 3 hours to figure this out! I'm thinking jewelry will save the day!
