My New Favorite Outfit: Stripes and Elbow Patches

Stripes and Elbow Patches

Today I'm happily wearing my elbow patch sweater again. I love how this outfit came together, it was by accident, really. I had another skirt in mind, and when I tried it on, I looked horrific. Whomp, whomp. I'd originally thought this skirt was more summery (it's linen) but when you pair it with tights and a sweater, it suddenly looks wintery. Sweet!

Also, I picked out a Chi flat iron for a Christmas present and "may" have opened it early to see if it was all it's cracked up to be.  It. Is.  I'm pretty sure it's only going to be good hair days from this day on. : )

  1. What's not to love about that Sweater? Seriously: elbow patches, Navy, Bright Green, Fun back, Colorblocking. It is so so pretty. I love how those Bracelets and that Necklace really go with everything you wear. I too layered a Plaid Button-down under another top, today. Great minds think alike.

  2. You crack me up... I would have done exactly the same thing!!

I just bought an Instyler and I'm loving it. I have really thick hair and it cut my straightening time in half AND it keeps my hair from going completely flat :-)

  3. This is so cute! You really can't tell that the skirt is linen. If anything it looks like a heavy brocade with the sweater and tights.

  4. Love the plaid and pop of green! You can't go wrong with elbow patches either! And I got a chi a few years ago and absolutely love it. They are definitely worth it, especially for girls like me with wavy/curly hair!

  7. You look great! I love this. I've actually been wondering about my striped chambray/linen blend skirt that I wore during my 30x30 and if it would work in the winter. Seeing yours, I think it might!

  9. I love the elbow patches! You look so pretty. I had a chi flat iron years ago and it was one of my favorites (my aunt made me give mine to her, long story). Enjoy yours!
