My New Favorite Outfit: Take Two

Take Two

I got a phone call recently from my hair salon that my stylist no longer worked there. Urg. However, they'd set me up with a new girl and I'd get half off the cut. Sign me up! I went in for my appointment last week and she did great. I actually like her more than my old stylist! I was nervous as I saw her cut, cut, and cut some more.  see,  ave seriously thick hair, but you're probably thinking exactly what my husband said, "It doesn't look like she cut anything off." Yep, that's just the way I like it :)

I got this dress back in the fall for $.99 at Goodwill and was immediately in love with the ikat print.  What I wasn't crazy about was the length, I just kept thinking how much better it would be shorter, but I kept psyching myself out about being able to hem it.  Well, I took the dive!  I got a dress that had a length I knew I really liked and I laid that one on top if this one. I then ironed it at the new desired length, pinned it, that did a simple seam.  I cut off the excess fabric from the old length and am thrilled with the result!  It's amazing how much more I like the dress now!

Also, if you're name's Katie C, you've one the $300 giveaway!  You should be getting an email from Agi, but make sure to stop by her blog to claim your super sweet prize!

  2. Haircuts can be so stressful! I have curly hair and I am a nervous nail-biting mess every time I get one.

I love the dress, especially since you hemmed it! I definitely like the above the knee length on you. So cute!

  5. 50% off is awesome! My stylist recently started working out of her home, so now instead of paying $250 for a cut and highlights, it's $120. :D I'm trying to convince hubs that this means I should go twice as often (I usually go once or twice a year). hehe.

Great find on the dress. I wore a dress last week (this one: http://lesliescloset.ca/2013/04/12/228/ )and I feel the exact same way - Love the dress, but it's a couple of inches longer than is best on me. AND the hem is coming out anyway....so I'm just trying to get the energy together to bring it up an inch or two. I find anything below the knee is not the most flattering for me.
