Chelsea and Ginny Take On: The Work Day

This week Chelsea and I are taking on the Work Day.  Today's look to me is effortless-professional.  Expresses' portfolio shirt paired with Loft's polka dot skirt instantly gives the illusion that I put a lot of thought into my outfit, when I actually didn't have to, which is perfect for a Monday morning....or any morning where I push snooze an extra time. :)  The addition of my Stella and Dot jewels helps to finish off this look and make it feel a little special too.  I think having pieces like this in your closet that are comfortable and mixable are definitely essential in your wardrobe.  What are some pieces you feel are key in your own closet?

Chelsea at Whatcha Makin' Now has put together a round-up of five great easy week night meals, which is perfect for me, being about 4:00 every afternoon I have a "What's for dinner" moment.  Anyone with me??? Stop by her blog for the details!

  1. First off you look great. Easy, effortless and totally elegant. Since I have real similar pieces I am pinning this look. =)

Secondly, I am totally going to stalk your sister's blog today because those 5 easy meals are what I need to know RIGHT NOW.

  3. I totally agree with how you classified your look as "effortless professional." Simple pieces of a blouse + pencil skirt, but the flattering color you chose for the Portofino plus the fun (but not over the top!) pattern for the skirt make it great instead of just average. :)

  8. This is so cute, I love your skirt. But I am freezing just looking at you in bare legs!

  9. Yeah, these pictures must be from last week before the winter set in! I suppose green grass and bare legs will be a thing of the past until April or May!

I absolutely need to grab these easy meal ideas. I have those "what's for dinner" moments, but it's usually closer to 6:30, and the answer is usually "nothing - let's go out!"
