Blog Everyday in May Challenge, Day 17: A favorite picture and why
Brian and I got married on December 29th, 2007 in Maui. Neither one of us wanted a big wedding. I totally don't like being the center of attention and neither does my husband, therefore as small destination wedding was perfect. We got engaged on my husband's birthday in August. He said he couldn't think of a better birthday present than getting to marry me. I kind of love that. I literally was able to plan the wedding in a weekend and the beach destination was perfect. Even though this picture was posed, I love it. It makes me feel beautiful and fancy, all at the same time. : )

Now to my outfit: I thought I'd try a little stripe and plaid pattern mixing today. I'm loving my new Stella and Dot necklace and thought it would pop nicely on the black and white top. Add my boyfriend jeans and my new favorite gold shoes and this is a pretty nice casual Friday look.
Shirt: AE $6 (Plato's Closet)
Sweater: Express $30
Jeans: Old Navy $5 (thrifted)
Necklace: Stella and Dot Jolie

I love the wedding photo! And I have to say this about your style because it's probably what I love most about it - you have such a skill for mixing dressy with casual! I especially realize that with this outfit and think you do it perfectly with the casualness (is that even a word?!) of the distressed b/f jeans paired with the fancy shoes. :)

I love that picture of you and Brian, Ginny! I'm a sucker for pretty wedding photos :) I also LOVE Hawaii. I went to Maui on a family vacation as a sophomore in high school, and as a sophomore in college, I spent a month in Honolulu and it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater you're wearing in this post! It's so classic, and it looks super cozy and cute.
