Ok, so this time of year as a teacher isn't very fun. At all. The kids begin to get a little stir crazy for summer and it makes me will, a little crazy myself. I seriously don't know what I would do if I taught in a year round school, I seriously think the kids, and I, need a break. That being said, some of my lovelies are getting lazy and apathetic. This makes me sad. I haven't had this issue before this year, so I don't know what the deal is with this group. Anyway, I was having a "day" on Friday and then there was a glimmer of hope. I had a student look at the board to write down the agenda and she said, "Yay, we GET to do that activity today." It's amazing how the get "get" can turn around my attitude, she didn't has "have" she said "get!" There is hope of my making it sanely to the end of the year!
Now to my outfit: I'm beginning to wonder if there's a shop-o-holic girl my size who buys all these great things (specifically at LOFT), then decides she doesn't need them and gives them to Goodwill. Seriously, people give away the best things! It's kind of bananas how inexpensive today's outfit is! I really like this skirt and on the same day picked up one in navy and white, all LOFT, all my size, two for $3 and one for $.99. Ba-nan-as.

ReplyDeleteYes for great deals. Your skirt deals are Bananas indeed. That Chambray/Jean Jacket is Casual, Fun & Unique. Nice Coach Slides, too.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your job but kids can do & say the darnest things & can drive one nuts. What grade & subjects do you teach?
Love the length of the denim shirt/jacket. I think it's proportioned perfectly for you.

It is definitely a tough time of year. It feels like school is almost over but we've still got 5 more weeks left! I love those rare moments when the kids respond with a "YES!" instead of "oooohhh" when I tell them what we are doing in class.
ReplyDeleteAlso, i really love how this long denim jacket looks with a striped shirt!
I still think it's amazing what teachers like you are able to do! =)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! So lovely!
