My Outfit: I started this challenge wearing this blazer and skirt, and I'm wearing them together again with my sequined tank and boots. Honestly, I really like how this came together but I really didn't feel like wearing this skirt and blazer again. I think I might be hitting a wall. I'm ready to get my closet back.
Things that are stupid: Buying clothes during a month when you can't wear them. So stupid. I "happened" to find two great skirts I couldn't pass up at Target as I was shopping for "detergent." I also sold some clothes and Plato's closet and "happened" to find a great plaid and a gingham button down. Then I was donating at Goodwill and "happened" to find a two great dresses. Crazy how this all just "happened." I really want to wear them all. Nine. More. Days.
I was also nominated for the Leibster Award again by Tiffany at Pink Faith Today, go check put here cute blog :)
Blazer: Vinage (thrifted) $.99
Top: Express $25
Belt: Kohls $1.5
Skirt: Ann Taylor Loft $5
Necklace: Plato's Closet $3
Bracelet: Got on honeymoon in Hawaii : )
Boots: Born $100
That's a great sequined tank! I love all of the textures in this outfit. Thanks for linking up today!

Thanks, Allison!
DeleteI am seriously feeling the same way! I have clothes I got for Christmas that I didn't include in the 30z30 so I haven't even worn them yet! So sad. Only 8 more days (for me at least)! I think your outfit looks wonderful- that skirt and blazer are made for each other.

We. Can. Do. It. I know I'll be glad I did, burin sure it'll be quite a while before I'm ready to do this challenge again.
DeleteI love your necklace and the print on that skirt! So pretty :) And yes, I always "happen" to find clothes or lipgloss at Target while I'm shopping for necessities... :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! My husband hates Target for the very same reason all women love it. Hehe.
DeleteHang in there, you can do it! :) This outfit looks really nice so at least you have that to console yourself with and the new clothes will feel even more special after you having to wait so long to finally wear them :)

Thanks, Janine! I think I just need to put some outfits together with them and know they're ready when I can wear them. :)
DeleteYou look so cute. This blazer proved to be so versatile. Good thing you packed it for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm really glad I included it too :)
DeleteThis outfit is cute! That skirt just looks SO good with a mildly patterned top! You're such a savvy shopper, girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lynette!
DeleteYou look amazing and don't get discouraged. YOu are almost done!!! Maybe try simplifying your outfit. THat's what I'm doing. Either that or I add layers. Good luck. You're done a great job.

Thanks, I think I've learned a lot about how to wear things differently, which is great, it's just hard when you really don't feel like wearing something. We. Ca. Do. It!
DeleteI think you've done a great job on your 30x30, but I totally understand that you are ready to have your clothes back!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I don't know how it happens... but every time I "run" to Target for a few items I come back with a new article of clothing :)
Thanks, that's soooo nice of you to say :)
DeleteThe blazer and tank go so well together! You're so close to being done and being able to wear new clothes :)

Thanks, Sharon!
DeleteBuying something and not being able to wear it?! That sounds like pure torture. I usually have the tags off before I even get to the car!
ReplyDeleteHaha :) it was my own fault. I have no self control when it comes to a deal....
Delete"and Things That Are Stupid." Can this be like a weekly thing? :) Believe me, I am SO READY to be done with this 30 for 30 (which makes me sad, because I so loved it last time) and get back in to the rest of my closet. This is not helping my seasonal depression!!!
ReplyDeleteSamantha @ Sam ipsa loquitur
Things that are stupid, probably could be a weekly focus, I'll have to think about that.... As for the 30x30 I'm soooo glad I've done it as it's really made me think about what I can create with clothes I already have, I just didn't realize I'd be such a weeny when it came to wearing certain pieces of clothing repeatedly. Total bummer you're not into it this time, I've gotten felt didn't seem as crazy about it this time. I'm thinking this could be a twice a year challenge, it would be hard to do two 30x30s in the same season.
Deletehi Ginny! This ootd is rocking my world. Doh! Did I really say that like I am some 30 something rather than a 50 something. Yes, I love this all together. Hey who do you advertise with?
ReplyDelete?
DeleteThanks, Renae :) I don't advertise myself on websites but if you're talking about the ads I just started on my sidebar that's through shareasale.com. It was pretty easy to get signed up.
DeleteThat skirt was $5?! It's awesome! I am in love with this entire outfit! And I always seem to find things at Target when I am shopping for other things!
ReplyDeleteThank, Niki :)
DeleteI would NEVER have thought of this pairing and it looks fab! I'm already counting down the days to having the rest of my closet back and being able to shop for and wear new clothes - we're almost there!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Sequined Patterns
Thanks, Nicole :) we are almost there, so glad I've done this, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to wear some clothes week after week.
DeleteI just did the same thing this past weekend at target! I did not intend on buying any clothes and I left with a cardigan, dress, and faux leather jacket haha! Your floral skirt is really cute and it looks great paired with the structured black blazer! I just found your blog and am your newest follower on GFC & Bloglovin! It would be great if you could check out my blog too:)!
ReplyDeleteHey, I'd love to check out your blog, but I can't seem to get it through blogger, it says your profiles hidden. What's the link and I'll surely check it out?
DeleteI love your skirt, what a cute print. Love this whole outfit, you look fantastic! Haha, I always go to target for "toilet paper" and leave with clothes!

ReplyDeleteWow everything matches so perfectly! Love the bracelet and skirt. Stopping by from the link-up!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Doesn't that ALWAYS happen at Target? You find a million things you AREN'T looking for! haha
ReplyDeleteThat would be why my husband hates the place.
DeleteOh, My, Goodness! How could you find a blazer for 99 cents! Woooo Weeeee! I really like your outfit today! You are looking very professional!
ReplyDeleteCrystal
Thanks, Crystal, that's so nice of you to say :)
DeleteI love your boots. I have Born boots too and they are super comfy, are yours?
ReplyDeleteThe title of your post made me laugh out loud for real.

DeleteHi Ginny! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment. :) Your outfit is DARLING! I love the combination, and that skirt is adorable. And $5? WHAT. Great find!
ReplyDeleteI see you're doing the 30x30. Bless you, my dear. haha. You can do it!
Thanks, Audrey! It's definitely harder then I thought it'd be.

I am a new follower and I love that you are doing this. It's so inspiring (and I am seriously impressed with your ability to do it). And what a pain in the butt that you can't wear your new clothes. Only 1 more week! xx Sylvie
ReplyDeleteHey thanks so much, that's so nice of you to say :)
DeleteI agree, cold weather makes fashion so much more difficult! Glad you found some good buys tho!

I could relate with buying clothes and able to wear. I usually get a smaller size to help motivate me to lose weight and i end up not using them for months. :)
